Anyone interested in getting fit, but wants their exercise routine combined with spiritual tips, should get hold of ‘Fit Temple’, the recently-released debut DVD from Lola Olarewaju, a fitness coach and personal trainer.
This fitness DVD contains exercises to get individuals on the road to fitness, and gospel music and Biblical verses people can meditate on.
Lola, 36, who attends House on the Rock, in Tufnell Park, North London, shared, “I want my Fit Temple DVD to encourage us to look at our lifestyles/bodies, and to begin to take much better care of our bodies in order for us to fulfil our individual purpose from God.”
She added, “I believe that a healthy and fit body helps the spirit in many different ways. A fitter body gives us more energy, and our bodies are stronger and better equipped to fight sicknesses and illnesses, but most importantly, we have a responsibility to take good care of our bodies, so that God’s will can be done through us.”
An actress and playwright, Lola became a fitness coach whilst in between acting jobs. She recalled, “Ten years ago, my then church sponsored me to do a
Fitness Instructor course at Morley College. Thereafter, I qualified as a Personal Trainer and a qualified specialist in Children’s Fitness.”
Although she’s a married mother of two kids – her husband is Premier Radio presenter Muyiwa – Lola still finds time to work out six days a week.
Whilst she doesn’t promise that people who buy her DVD will become fitness freaks, she is confident that if they carry out the exercises they will get fitter. “When the Bible says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, you better believe it, because in as little as two weeks people will begin to see the difference in your fitness level.”
