Don't despise your small beginnings
Gladys Famoriyo says that when God gives us an assignment, our focus should not be on its start or size, but instead, we should focus on fulfilling God’s purposes. Has God given you a vision to fulfil a particular assignment? If so, what have your attitude and response been towards this? The reality is that some of us appear to embrace a number of incorrect attitudes which translate into the actions we take (or don’t take). To start with, some of us may buck at less glamorous tasks that influence how we approach it.
The best gift to give is yourself
Christmas is one of the few times in the year when more and more people take the focus off themselves and look for ways to connect to, engage with, and give heartfelt support to others. It could be said that, like Christ Himself, individuals present themselves as gifts in order to be a blessing to others and share goodwill, a quality for which the season is renowned. Christmas should always be a time when we give God thanks for the special Gift of His Son Jesus to the world, and reflect on what this unique Gift means, particularly during these difficult times.
