Kirk Franklin performing in UK in June

British gospel music fans are in for a treat this summer. Gospel’s biggest superstar, Kirk Franklin, will be in the UK on June 12-13 for two shows. He’ll be at Bethel Convention Centre, West Bromwich, on June 12 – support acts include Lurine Cato and Rachel Kerr – and at the Copperbox Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 3HB on June 13. Other artists on the London bill will include Guvna B and Richie Dan, and is sponsored by Keep The Faith.

These two concerts promise to be shows to remember. For nearly two decades, Franklin has been a multi-platinum-selling pioneer in gap-bridging musicianship, uniting audiences across gospel, hip hop, pop and R&B. Kirk’s fusion of the Gospel message with urban beats has made him a mainstay in gospel for two decades, and the biggest-selling contemporary gospel artist in SoundScan history. He is also one of gospel’s most awarded artists, and has won nine Grammy Awards, 11 Doves, 34 Stellars, four NAACP Image Awards, and a 2006 American Music Award. Franklin has accomplished and achieved what only a handful of artists across any genre have attained and, as a performer, he’s up there with the great. There’s no doubt that his UK appearances will be worth attending.
