Prison Fellowship New CEO Announced
Prison Fellowship England and Wales is pleased to announce that Peter Holloway has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Over a successful career, Peter has worked with British Airways and for the last five years has been Group Director of Human Resources at the international humanitarian organisation, Medair. He will join Prison Fellowship in November 2015.
At British Airways, Peter trained as an engineer and then built his career in HR. Peter was Head of People Delivery and Head of Shared Services, responsible for the delivery of operational HR services to the BA Group. He is a regular guest speaker at Lausanne University on HR Management.
Peter is motivated to help the vulnerable and those in need, which led him to join Medair as a member of their Executive Leadership Team with specific responsibility for Medair’s global HR function. Medair works across the globe practically serving devastated communities with health services, clean water, sanitation and shelter.
Howard Dodd, Chair of Trustees said, “We are delighted Peter is joining us to build and lead the Prison Fellowship team and we are looking forward to him bringing his unique mix of skills and experience to expanding PF’s important work. This is a key appointment for Prison Fellowship. We believe that his integrity and passion for helping those in need coupled with his proven ability will be a catalyst for the development of this great ministry.”
Peter Holloway said, “It is a tremendous privilege to be entrusted with leading such an exceptional organisation. I look forward to joining and working with the amazing volunteers and staff of Prison Fellowship who visit the UK’s prisons and do such wonderful work. The respect I gained for Prison Fellowship as a young man visiting prisoners has grown year-by-year as I have seen its faithful work continue. Please pray that I will have the vision, wisdom and strength to serve Prison Fellowship and the compassion and dedication to support the prisoners we come alongside.”
