The Youth Evangelism Conference: Inspiring leaders to greater confidence in reaching young people
Britain can be transformed by effective youth workers and empowered, equipped young people who are ready to put their Christian faith into words and action.
That’s the agenda for the first Youth Evangelism Conference, which will be held at City Church Cambridge (14 Cheddars Lane, CB5 8LD) on the 27thof February 2016. Several years in the making, this exciting new event aims to inspire vision, enable action and champion the cause of reaching young people.
In some quarters, the church could be accused of losing its confidence in evangelism, especially among the young. But we’re refusing to let this be the norm. We believe that Britain can be transformed by an emerging generation of youth workers and young people who are inspired and equipped to be and speak good news.
The YEC is a joint initiative of Youth for Christ, HOPE Revolution, Scripture Union, Urban Saints and Alpha, aiming to raise our collective voices to awaken the church to the great challenge and opportunity of our time and to put sharing the life changing message of Jesus back at the top of the agenda.
Running from 10am to 4pm (with lunch included), attendees will hear a keynote address on youth evangelism, take part in workshops led by passionate speakers and find out about the best resources and organisations to help apply what they have learned to their own contexts and communities.
Evangelist, J John says “There is an urgency for effective youth ministry and evangelism. This conference will equip, inspire, and encourage for a ‘time such as this’. If you have been called to youth ministry and evangelism do not miss this unique conference – there will be divine synergy that will make a difference.”
