CELEBRATE AWESOME YOU – THE EMERGING GENERATION
Dinner, Fashion Show, Entertainment & Motivational Speeches
Do you believe in second chances? Are you familiar with how many young women and men are struggling to become the best they can be, or even to recognise how brilliant and beautiful they are? As an ex-magazine editor, coach and inspirational speaker, I have witnessed many who need an opportunity to discover who they all are, to ‘find their mojo’ and stop being invisible.
Young people at all levels in our society are under-represented, and many of their voices are not being heard; there is no reason, however, why they should remain invisible.
About Women on the Crossroads (WOTC)
This is your space, your place, your issues! Women on the Crossroads CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise that offers social networking for professional and non-professional women worldwide. Our aim is to inspire, enable growth and success, communication, education and assistance for all women. When you join this network, you will be participating with a group of women whose common purpose is to examine choices, explain feelings, gain fulfilment and foster wellbeing.
This support group is open to women of all cultural backgrounds and provides a safe place for us to share and care for each other. Mentoring relationships is a fundamental purpose for WOTC; our aim is to nurture women’s innate strengths and cultivate confidence and competence so their dreams become reality.
What is the reason for the Awesome YOU event on 8th May 2016?
I have been blessed with many lifetime changes, experienced a few crossroads, and have walked through some big doors, for which I am grateful. Now I am working with the best in each industry to support and empower the Women on the Crossroads mentoring programme, where everyone can gain a second chance through mentoring.
We have chosen as inspirers those who are excelling, working for change and focused on making a difference NOW! They are the next generation whose work will make an impact, empower and educate others to have the skills, confidence and the mindset to become leaders and decision-makers. Our inspirers are chosen from education, industry, and are entrepreneurs and motivators, and include the following:
Fatoumata Diallo is a Guinean-born women’s rights advocate, Programme Development Officer at the Justina Mutale Foundation for (Women’s) Leadership and Programmes Development, and Implementation Officer at Exekutives for Development (EfD).

Named as one of the Top 30 most inspirational women in the City by Brummell magazine (Diversity Champion category), Miranda is on the CityAM Top 20 “Women in the City” Powerlist (Business and Finance category); she is a “Future Tech Girl” role model, and on the “FemTechLeader” Global List for influential women within the technology sector.
