Soliy’s BBQ SPLASH is a BBQ competition Festival not just any BBQ competition, we want the community to come and enjoy, competitive festivities, culture and entertainment. Most importantly the event is to raise awareness and funding for The Brixton Soup Kitchen. Soliy’s BBQ Splash is founded by Solomon Smith, founder of The Brixton Soup Kitchen, which is a registered charity that helps the homeless and the less fortunate up and down the country. They have a big following and are supported by many local and international companies that love cause and love being involved in trying to make a difference. What some may not know about Solomon is that he loves cooking and has a passion for it. Solomon featured on ITV’s BBQ Champ that went out to 8.2 million viewers, which has inspired SOLIYS BBQ Competition. The sponsors for the event include Wray and Nephew, the Jerk Pan Co. (which will award the winner and runner up’s), Juiced, Tesco just to name a few. The festival will be held within The Brixton Soup Kitchen’s Large green open space garden this Summer 21st Aug 2016, From: 12pm – 8pm Address: 297-299 Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, SW9 8RP Entry is FREE with an option to Donate The competition it’s self is open to those that deem themselves to be the best at BBQ. We will have a panel of judges (local celebs/ food experts) and rank the competitors 1st, 2nd, 3rd. This is going to be a great event and the first in this region, so come down and enjoy a great time with family, friends and the community.
