R’n’B and Pop singer, Justin Bieber, gave a heart-warming, faith stirring speech declaring “God is Good” after his performance at this weekend’s Ariana Grande’s benefit concert, following the Manchester Terrorist Attack.
On Sunday 4th June, Mancunians gathered to honour the victims and families at the concert at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Artists such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and others organised this concert in memory of the innocent victims who experienced the horrible terrorist attack at after Ariana Grande’s MEN Arena concert a couple of weeks ago.
The coming together of famous artists and the whole of Manchester inspired Justin Bieber to declare the love of God in this time of sorrow. After singing his hit song, ‘Love Yourself’, Bieber gave an emotional speech saying,
“I’m not going to let go of hope. I’m not going to let go of love. I’m not going to let go of God. Put your hand up if you’re not going to let go. God is good in the midst of darkness. God is good in the midst of evil. God is in the midst, no matter what’s happening in the world, God is in the midst and he loves you and he’s here for you.”
Bieber’s declaration for the love of God in that special moment inspired hope in people around the world. The video of his speech went viral on social media, and was trending topic on twitter.
He ended his speech, with the cooperation of the crowd, raising the hands in the air repeating these powerful words after him, “We honour you, we love you.” These two important appraisal phrases, indicate how the presence of God was there and this moment will forever be remembered. #OneLoveManchester
