‘Enough for Everyone’ – a Christmas Carol service, with readings and carols, choirs – from St John’s Church Waterloo and the Oasis Academy South Bank choir – plus special guest speaker, The Revd Lucy Winkett, Rector of St James’s Church, Piccadilly. A time to reflect on the festive period ahead and the transformative work of Christian Aid.
All donations on the night will go to Christian Aid’s Christmas Appeal. For every pound you give, the UK Government will give a pound more. That’s double the support for people living in poverty. This year our Appeal highlights the needs those living in Burkina Faso and South Sudan who face issues of malnutrition because of severe food shortages. We are committed to nutritional programmes to assist the most vulnerable, especially women and young children. We are also highlighting the shocking amounts of wasted food here in the UK at Christmas time, and seeking to encourage people to waste less this year.
This is a FREE event; all we ask is that you register for a ticket for you and your friends so that we know how many people are coming. Register today on: caidcarol2017.eventbrite.co.uk
Doors will open at 6.30pm and members of the congregation are requested to be seated by 6.50pm to start at 7pm.
There will be refreshments and a time to chat after the service.
We look forward to welcoming you!
