Sandra Godley, Mark Beswick and Neville Staple to perform at Cyrille Regis MBE memorial service

A service celebrating the life and legacy of legend Cyrille Regist has been set to take place on Sunday March 4 at 4pm at Coventry Cathederal.

Cyrille died on January 14, aged 59 from a suspected heart attack. Tributes poured in from all over the world and over 1,800 people attended his funeral service that was held at West Brom’s Hawthorns Stadium last month.

The service will be led by the Dean of Coventry and will include music by the Boy Choristers of the Cathedral Choir, Sandra Godley, Mark Beswick and Neville Staple.

Contributions to the service will include the Archbishop of York John Sentamu, The Bishop of Coventry, the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cyrille’s family, and some of Cyrille’s football team-mates.

Attendance to the service is free and there are 700 tickets available. Those wanting to attend must obtain their ticket online from either the Coventry City Ticket office or from Coventry Cathedral
