Journey of Hope Applications Still Open

Applications for the Journey of Hope leadership training opportunity are closing in just a couple of days!

Applications are still being welcomed from  from churches and Christian leaders with a vision transform their church into a ‘reconciliation hub’. They will be accompanied on an experiential and dynamic learning journey across the UK and Ireland over 6 months beginning in January 2019 until June 2019.

Each month there is a fully funded 2 day training residential hosted at one of our five training centres. Each centre has a unique approach to peace building and reconciliation which will be explored in depth, grappling with the challenges and opportunities that conflict presents.

The aim is to gather a diverse community of practitioners who will support one another in their learning and development. They are looking for a range of denominations, ethnic backgrounds, geographical contexts and conflict issues. Shared experiences are an important resource for taking reconciliation work to the next level.

They particularly welcome applicants who:

  • Hold a formal or informal leadership role within their church
  • Have support from within their congregation and their church leadership or diocese to develop reconciliation work
  • Have some experience of reconciliation work, dialogue facilitation or mediation
  • Have an ability to lead diverse groups and an aspiration to inspire others

If this sounds like you or someone you know – now is the time to apply!
