Higher tour kicks off in Yorkshire

Thousands of young people across Yorkshire will hear the good news of Jesus over the next few weeks, as the Higher Tour lands there for March.
Bands and mission teams from The Message will be travelling the length and breadth of the region going into schools to relevantly share the Christian faith.

As well as schools work, large outreach gigs will be taking place in Doncaster, Sheffield, Wakefield and Leeds too. At the concerts, young people can come with their friends to enjoy relevant music from bands like SoulBox and BrightLine, before hearing a full gospel presentation and having a chance to respond to it for themselves.

Partnering with the local church is at the heart of the Higher Tour.
The big dream is to see thousands of young people choosing to follow Christ and becoming lifelong disciples of him. This is why every person who responds gets linked straight away with a youth worker and partner church who will be there to cheer them on and encourage them as they start their journey of faith.

It’s our prayer that we see many lives transformed as people make decisions to follow Christ either at an event or one of the many follow up sessions.
Andy Hawthorne OBE, Founder and Chief Executive of The Message Trust said: “I’m so excited about Higher Yorkshire and the opportunities that have a been opening up in schools and churches throughout the whole area. I honestly believe that this is going to be a special few weeks for Yorkshire.

“I long to see a shift in youth culture as young people in every part of our nation find the hope Jesus offers, not just for an evening at an action-packed event, but for good which is why partnering with churches is at the heart of every Higher Tour.”
