Picture a Sunday service like this: Church meets Dragon’s Den.
This Sunday (14th July), the dynamic London pentecostal church, SPAC Nation, will be holding a church service like no other: Entrepreneurial Sunday.
We did this last year and we’re doing it again but this time it’s an even bigger sum of money. Scores of young entrepreneurs will be showcasing and pitching their start-up businesses in a bid to get a share of a £100,000 investment pot.
All sorts of businesses will be involved in the event. From fashion labels and dessert products to car hire and creative agencies. Senior Pastor Tobi Adegboyega said:
“This Sunday, many young people’s lives are going to change forever for the better.
“Very generous church members have pulled together to raise this astonishing amount of their own pockets. At SPAC Nation we’re big fans of enterprise and we know how it can change the lives of young people. That’s why believe in helping their entrepreneurial dreams come true.
“Anyone and everyone is invited, you don’t have to be a Christian or even be a part of the church to get a share of the investment pot. Just come down on the day and pitch your business.
“This is how to support young people and we love to do it.”
It’s not only cash the young entrepreneurs will be receiving. They will also be receiving mentorship on how to grow and improve their business.
It’s going to be networking galore for young people who are serious about making it as an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurial Sunday will be taking place at Leonardo Royal London St Paul’s, Godliman StreLondon. Nearest stations are Blackfriars and St Paul’s.
