Unity Celebrates Annual World Day of Prayer

Unity School of Christianity based in Taplow, Maidenhead will celebrate its annual day of prayer on Thursday 12th September with a 12 hour prayer vigil.

Thousands of people will join Silent Unity—an international, prayer ministry—and Unity churches and centres around the world on 12th September, 2019, for the annual Unity World Day of Prayer.

Silent Unity UK headquarters will be open from 9am to 9pm for prayer, with regular services throughout the day at 9am, 12 noon and 8.30pm to close. All are welcome to attend in person or watch the web stream online.

“World Day of Prayer gives us an opportunity to come together in celebration of our oneness with God, each other and our world. Through prayer we foster peace and wholeness in our community, our individual lives and our planet,”

says Rev. Kimerie Mapletoft, Director of Silent Unity UK.

Held on the second Thursday of September Unity’s World Day of Prayer represents a global effort to uplift our world in shared prayer consciousness.  Since its beginning, this sacred initiative has supported more than 15 million people worldwide with prayer. On this day, in fact, more people contact Silent Unity for prayer than at any other time. It is truly an honour to hold each dear person in prayer, on this day and every day – no need is too small or too large, each dear one held close in our hearts in recognition of the spiritual beings we all really are.

Unity invites people of all faiths to join in this sacred prayer activity. Names can be submitted for prayer online at http://www.unityuk.org  This year we will symbolize the power of our united prayers by asking people everywhere to light a virtual candle at http://www.unityuk.org.

The candles will be displayed as points of light on a UK map.
