Much loved entertainer Kenny Lynch has died at the age of 81

Kenny Lynch, most famous for his popular song Up on The Roof, has sadly died at the age of 81. The news was confirmed by his family members in a statement they made this morning:

“Saddened to share this news with you all.

“Sadly our dad passed away in the early hours this morning. He will be remembered & missed by many. We would like to say a massive thank you to the NHS & the people at Sue Ryder for all their support. Bye Dad, we will love you always!”

Born in London in 1938, Kenny started out his entertainment career as a variety show performer, and quickly became a much loved and well known singer, actor and songwriter.
