The UK Government has pledged £750m to ensure that voluntary, community and social enterprise organisation (VCSE’s) can continue their vital work supporting the country during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many churches are working tirelessly and sacrificially to bring aid, comfort and support to vulnerable people during the Coronavirus outbreak. They are running food banks, delivering food hampers, , organising befriending schemes, providing support to the homeless and disenfranchised and much more to help the most vulnerable in their communities during this time.
If your church is carrying out work in the community to support vulnerable people in this way you may be eligible for grant aid. The total fund has been distributed quite diffusely to a range of charitable organisations, who are in turn organising the distribution to VCSE’s. It is important that your church is recognised for the work that you do in the wider community and is able to gain access to this grant fund.
