Award Nominated Dr. F. James Clark Presents Shalom Church And Friends and New Single “Lord Do It Again”
The city of St. Louis, MO has a rich history in Gospel music. Making their imprint in the St. Louis region and to a growing national audience is The Shalom Church City of Peace Music Ministry. Under the pastoral leadership of Dr. F. James Clark, Shalom Church has emerged from their Florissant, MO sanctuary to be one of Gospel music’s most dynamic and accomplished choirs.
Dr. Clark and The Shalom Mass Choir, under the musical direction of Music Minister Dello Thedford and produced and directed by Oscar Williams, Jr., released their debut album SIMPLY AMAZING in 2015. The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top Gospel Album Sales Chart and yielded a Top 30 BDS Billboard Gospel Radio Single – “We Praise Your Name”. SIMPLY AMAZING received a 2016 Stellar Gospel Music Award nomination for Contemporary Choir of the Year and won four 2016 Rhythm of Gospel Awards: Special Event CD Of The Year, Rhythm of Gospel CD Of The Year, Traditional Choir Of The Year and Church Choir Of The Year.
Dr. Clark followed up in 2017 with his NextGeneration Choir album SURE. FOCUSED. CENTERED which also landed on the Billboard Top Gospel Album Sales Chart at #3. Produced by Terence Vaughn and directed by Curtis Finch, Jr., The NextGeneration Choir snagged two 2018 Stellar Gospel Music Award nominations for New Artist of The Year and Contemporary Choir of the Year and received a 2018 Steeple Award Nomination for CD of The Year. SURE. FOCUSED. CENTERED. generated two Top 40 radio singles – “You Are”, an upbeat, high-spirited musical mantra, and “Cry Out”, a passionate worship ballad.
Dr. Clark returns in 2020 to present Shalom Church and Friends. This new offering was recorded live and features Shalom Church Choirs collaborating with some of the most talented singers and musicians from the St. Louis area.
“I really wanted to have this experience of recording shared with neighboring church fellowships,” Dr. Clark states. “We’ve recorded twice and the experience was so fruitful for me that it was worth sharing and unifying in the same experience.”

“The talent in the city of St. Louis in terms of Gospel Music is amazing! Some of these singers that joined in with us perhaps would never have an opportunity for this exposure. It gave me an opportunity to put their gifts on a national and global platform.”
The first single from the forthcoming Dr. F. James Clark Presents Shalom Church and Friends album is “Lord Do It Again”. This powerful traditional song is written by Curtis Finch, Jr. and features a soul-stirring Dr. Clark on the lead vocals.
