New Faith-Based Film Festival Being Launched In The UK This July
FILM FESTIVAL KICK OFF ON JANUARY 25
Lovers of Inspirational films and Faith-based audiences are in for a treat in January 2022 as they are invited to attend the kick-off meeting to discuss the Faith and Beyond Film Festival (FAB Film Fest), spearheaded by Roney Henderson, a former Chair of the South Norwood and Thornton Heath free film festival.
Roney is sending a call out to interested parties, people who have an interest in filmmaking and want to know more about the festival or want to volunteer to attend an online event on Tuesday 25 January 2022.
The FAB Film Fest is UK-based, and the theme of the first festival is ‘Faith Explored in a Modern World’. The festival will give both British and International filmmakers the opportunity to express and present their creativity to primarily a Black, Asian, and Ethnic faith-based audience who enjoy various genres of movies including action, comedy, drama, thrillers, sci-fi with a narrative that is convicting, compelling and inspirational.
There is an open invitation to filmmakers to submit their films for consideration via the film portals Film Freeway and Fest Home, from 27 January 2022, which also has details of submission and eligibility criteria.
As part of the festival, there are two Short film competitions. A prize will be awarded for the best short film and another for the best faith-based promo, that is sixty seconds or less.
The FAB Film Fest will take place in London over a period of four days and will feature premieres, Shorts, and Animation by filmmakers targeting Black, Asian and Ethnic minority audiences in the Faith community.
Roney Henderson said:
The FAB Film Fest is set to provide a great opportunity for independent filmmakers who are seeking new opportunities to network with fellow creatives within the film industry and showcase their work to a new audience and those who don’t attend mainstream festivals.
