Credit Union Started By Windrush Generation Starts New Service To Reach Millennials

Gift Box Advert

Launching this April 2021, GiftBOX will be a membership-only financial service for artisans, creatives, entrepreneurs, students, and young professionals with an association with a Pentecostal church in the UK.

GiftBOX is Powered by the Pentecostal Credit Union, one of the most financially successful credit unions in the country, and has served thousands of customers over its 42-year life span.

GiftBOX promises to be a member-focused service that aims to provide a better return on your savings than many high street banks and offers lower-cost loans.

The Pentecostal Credit Union (PCU) was created in direct response to Black people (in particular the Windrush Generation) and Black led churches, being denied access to mainstream banking facilities. What started from humble beginnings with one man and a dream, is now a nationwide model of possibility.

GiftBOX, the daughter of PCU will launch as a fresh, new, and improved service targeted to the millennial market in order to provide tailored services such as money masterclasses and entrepreneurial development programmes designed to help you borrow, save and learn in a sustainable and scalable way.

Initially open to 100 individuals by invitation only, GiftBOX members will not only be customers but they will also be invited to collaborate, co-create and contribute to the shaping of GiftBOX as it grows and opens wider to the millennial market in the not too distant future.

Members will also receive exclusive networking opportunities with access to the Giftbox Leadership team and high-profile ambassadors as well hands-on involvement in its yearly nominated philanthropic giveback programs.

GiftBOX CEO, Shane expresses his enthusiasm about the launch of GiftBOX saying:

I truly believe GiftBOX will open up the benefits of community banking to millennials in a new, exciting and relevant manner. The current wealth gap figures show that for every £100 a White family has, Black-Caribbean families have £12 and Black-African families have £10. Building wealth and improving the economic prospects of communities, and churches across the UK remains a key objective of The PCU. We can’t wait to get the ball rolling and make this impact for the upcoming generation.

GiftBOX will launch in April with limited spaces via invitation only. To apply for your exclusive membership visit www.thisismygiftbox.com
