It’s been another tough year, hasn’t it? Practically everything costs much more than it did at the start of 2022. And fuel – of all kinds – remains incredibly expensive.
The gas that heats our homes
The electricity that cooks our food
The petrol that powers our cars
We believe every community, however remote, should have the essentials for life. Imagine if your community had no roads and little access to the outside world. How would you or your family reach a doctor if you were sick or injured? How would you receive an education or access job opportunities?
This is the reality for millions of people.
Jungles, mountains, swamps, insecurity and dilapidated infrastructure are all barriers to receiving physical and spiritual care and hope for the future.
We are Mission Aviation Fellowship – or MAF – a Christian mission organisation that uses planes to overcome these barriers. Our pilots and personnel deliver relief workers, doctors, pastors, school books, food and medicines – everything that can only be safely and speedily transported by air.
Sadly, the fuel that ensures MAF aircraft can bring help to men, women and children in the depths of their isolation is no exception. As prices rise, the cost of our life-saving flights to remote airstrips continues to soar.
MAF has worked tirelessly throughout this year to ensure that the fleet continues its unique Gospel mission. However, unprecedented price rises are now taking their toll.
The situation is serious
This Giving Tuesday, we are asking for you to help fuel the fleet through the act of making a gift that will help us close the price gap and continue our transformational work.
What’s more, thanks to a generous supporter, your gift will be DOUBLED, so you will make twice the impact if you donate today!
What your gifts translate into remains simple and vital: another flight to someone
who is desperate for help, hope and healing.
Will you help MAF today? We can’t take off without you.
