Holding On Together Launches to Help Couples Reconnect Before Disconnection Becomes Crisis
New relationship-support ministry aims to reach couples before difficulties escalate to breaking point
Holding On Together, a relationship-support ministry founded by relationship strategist, author, speaker and minister Hazel N. Williams, is helping couples recognise growing disconnection and strengthen their relationships before crisis sets in.
The need for earlier support is significant. The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that 102,678 divorces were granted in England and Wales in 2023. Research published in 2026 by Rayden Solicitors also found that more than 85,000 homelessness applications were linked to relationship breakdown between 2020 and 2025, based on data obtained from 91 local authorities.
“These are not merely relationship statistics,” says Hazel. “Relationship breakdown can affect children, housing, emotional wellbeing, churches, workplaces and entire communities. Yet many couples do not seek support until they have reached breaking point.”
Holding On Together exists to address the often-overlooked space between a relationship feeling connected and reaching crisis.
“Disconnection rarely happens overnight,” Hazel explains. “It can develop quietly beneath work, parenting, financial pressure, health challenges, unresolved hurt and the demands of everyday life. Couples may still love one another, but gradually lose the closeness they once shared.”
Through webinars, workshops, retreats, books, relationship check-ups, guided conversations and practical couples’ resources, Holding On Together creates opportunities for couples to pause, communicate honestly and become more intentional about protecting their relationship.
The ministry is rooted in Christian values while offering warm, practical and non-judgemental support. Its central message is simple: couples should not have to wait until their relationship is in crisis before asking for help.
Holding On Together is seeking to connect with churches, Christian organisations, community leaders and media platforms that share its commitment to strengthening couples and families.
