The Gospel According to HIV
The Gospel According to HIV is a new church service, open to all faiths and beliefs, recognising and honouring the spirit of those living with HIV, past and present. The service will be held at St. Mark’s Church in Kennington and curated by people of faith living with HIV. It will include stars of faith, stage and screen lending their voices and support to amplify the triumphs and legacies of HIV-positive people of faith across the UK.
Importantly, The Gospel According to HIV will consider the role of the Church in ending all new HIV diagnosis by 2030 by harnessing the church’s influence as an agent of social change, in a bid to tackle HIV stigma in faith communities and prevent the discrimination and ostracisation of people of faith living with HIV.
The service will be led by Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin (Chaplain to Her Majesty The Queen) and The Very Reverend John Richardson.
Performances and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Gospel According to HIV is a partnership between Naz Project London and Mildmay, with the support of Gilead and Pak Cosmetics.
NAZ, through its Testing Faith programme, regularly engages faith leaders and people of faith to increase HIV literacy and help tackle the internal and external stigmas surrounding an HIV diagnosis.
Mildmay has been serving a predominantly-Black demographic for decades and was a much-loved charity of the late Princess Diana.
